Home, Place, and __ is an animation exploring the feeling of loneliness in connection to geography, sound, and memory. It captures the powerful way a song can transport someone to a different place and time. The piece moves through Damascus, Lebanon, and Montreal—each location carefully chosen to accompany a song that evokes a memory rooted in sound and geography. In the final location, animations overlay the scene, placing me within the digital sphere of Google Images. Typically, we exist on the periphery of these digital worlds, but through animation, I immerse myself in the memory, blurring the lines between the physical and digital.
